Brandon is experienced in a number of sports. Some of his other activities and accomplishments include:

  • Martial arts
    • 16 years of experience in Taekwondo
    • Taekwondo 3rd-degree black belt (2003)
    • 3+ years of experience in various forms such as Muay Thai, boxing, and Brazilian jiujitsu
    • Awards and trophies span local, state, and regional divisions
    • Taught martial arts at the University of Kansas, 2001-2004

  • Rock climbing
      • Best toprope climb: 5.11c (Wonju, South Korea)
      • Best lead climb: 5.10d (Gurye, South Korea)
      • Best American lead climb: 5.10b (Mister Slate; Flagstaff, Arizona)
      • Worked as an adventure guide in Arizona, 2005
      • Climbing experience spans America and Asia, sport to multipitch, slab to choss, and lead to bouldering

  • Mountain climbing/hiking
      • Multiple 13,000'+ peaks include Mt. Kinabalu (Malaysian Borneo) and peaks in the Rockies
      • Day hikes include mountains across America and Asia including such countries as the US, Thailand, Korea, and Nepal

  • Motorcycling
      • Brandon enjoys motorcycling in all forms and rides nearly every day
      • Brandon holds a Championship Cup Series roadracing license (number 555)
